Proposed Operations Service Center Proposal PR86053
Busch Road - Pleasanton, CA December 10, 1986
Page 6

2. The
extent of these services would depend on the project schedule,
plans and specifications. For budgeting purposes, we have
assumed that the earthwork observation and testing aspect of this
project would take three months to complete. On this basis, our
estimated total charges for providing a field technician with a
nuclear moisture/density gauge for an average of four hours a
day, occasional laboratory testing (compaction curves), and
limited office supervision, would be $12,000. This figure is a
conservative estimate and may be appreciably reduced if earthwork
and underground activities proceed rapidly during construction.
The hourly rate for a field technician, plus equipment and
vehicle, is $42 per hour.

We shall not be responsible for damage to underground utilities
or other installations unless they are accurately marked on plans
made available to us prior to beginning of field operations.
