EXHIBIT 'A"

SCOPE OF WOP, K
We propose to explore the subsurface conditions at the project site by drilling approximately six
(6) exploratory borings to depths of approximately ten (10) feet. The final number and depths of
exploratory borings will be determined during the field exploration. Drive samples will be taken
during drilling operations, sealed in the field and returned to our laboratory for additional
examination and testing.

Laboratory tests will be performed on selected samples to evaluate their engineering
properties. These tests might include water content and dry density determinations, unconfined
compression tests, grain size analyses, and Atterberg Limits tests, depending on the types of
materials encountered at the site. The number and types of tests to be performed will be
determined after completion of the field exploration. Results of laboratory tests will be
presented in our final engineering report.

Data obtained from the field exploration and laboratory testing programs will be evaluated in a
manner consistent with ourrent standard of practice techniques. Based an the results of this
evaluation, we will develop opinions and recommendations regarding the following:

· Types and depths of foundations for the proposed soundwall;

· Design bearing pressures for foundations;

· Presence of groundwater and its potential effects on the proposed construction;

· Resistance to overturning and sliding forces;

· Potential for settlement and tilting;

· Behavior of the site when subjected to seismic shaking.

The results of the study and our conclusions and recommendations will be presented in an
engineering report at the end of our study. Based on our anticipated work load during the next
month, preliminary, verbal results of our study can be provided within two weeks after
authorization to proceed, and the final report can be completed within three weeks of
outhorization.
