CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-310 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO A & J ELECTRIC, <br /> INC., FOR EMERGENCY GENERATOR CONNECTION FOR WELLS 5, 6 <br /> AND 7 AND VINEYARD BOOSTER PUMP STATION, PROJECT NO. <br /> 87-61 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> connection to an emergency generator for Wells 5, 6 and <br /> 7 and the Vineyard Booster Pump Station, Project No. <br /> 87-61; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on July 21, 1987; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of A & J Electric, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $15,985.00 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public: Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of A & J Electric, Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of A & J Electric, Inc., in the amount of <br />$15,985.00, for Emergency Generator for Wells 5, 6 and <br /> 7, and Vineyard Booster Pump Station, Project No. 87-61, <br /> is hereby accepted by the City Council as the lowest <br /> responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to.execute a contract with A <br /> & J Electric, Inc. for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
