CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-308 <br /> <br /> ACCEPTANCE OF SINGLE BID AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO G. <br /> PAOLETTI CO., INC. FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT RESCUE SQUAD <br /> VEHICLE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for a new <br /> Rescue Squad; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Fire Department advertised for bids regarding this <br /> project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a single bid was received and was reviewed by the City <br /> Council on July 21, 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of G. Paoletti Co., Inc., in the amount of <br /> $119,663.71 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Chief recommended that the bid of G. Paoletti <br /> Co., Inc. be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of G. Paoletti Co., Inc., in the amount of <br /> $119,663.71, for a New Rescue Squad, is hereby accepted <br /> by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: Authorizes amendment to the Capital Improvement <br /> Budget by $4,313.71 to cover the added cost of the <br /> equipment. . <br /> <br />Section 3: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
