Indirect
of Full Annual Cost
Time
Positions at Step C Employee Salary Overhead Total
Police Officer 0.45 $ 77,352 40,996.56 $53,256.85
Code Enforcement Officer 0.35 $ 69,144 36,646.32 $37,026.61
Street Maintenance Worker 0.35 $ 47,508 25,179.24 $25,440.53
Total 1.15 $115,724.00
This is approximately .45 of a police officer, .35 of a code enforcement officer, and .35 of a
street maintenance worker. If one assumed worst case as has been proposed by some of the
neighbors in opposition to the Home Depot project, then one could increase the police
officer to .75 or 3/4 of a full-time police officer and .75 or'/4 of a full time code enforcement
officer and leave the street maintenance cost at .35 of a full time employee. By doing this
the cost estimate increases to approximately $190,000 as calculated in the average cost
assumption above. The following table presents the result of the analysis:
Indirect
of Full Annual Cost
Time
Positions at Step C Employee Salary Overhead Total
Police Officer 0.75 $ 77,352 40,996.56 $88,761.42
Code Enforcement Officer 0.75 $ 69,144 36,646.32 $79,342.74
Street Maintenance Worker 0.35 $ 47,508 25,179.24 $25,440.53
Total 1.85 $193,544.69
Therefore, the estimated impact on the cost of City services from the development of this
project is $190,000 based on the average cost analysis and the marginal cost analysis
expanded to include the thoughts and concerns of the neighbors on a worst case scenario.
Net Fiscal Impact to the City's General Fund
The net fiscal impact of the proposed Pleasanton Gateway project on the City's General
Fund ranges as shown in the following table for each of the reports as presented:
