^~~ KimleyHom Supplemental Weekday/Weekend Traffic Analysis -Final Report
liiiii~ and Associates, inc• Home Depot, Pleasanton, CA
WEEKEND SCENARIOS
Existing Levels of Service at Study Intersections
Traffic operations were evaluated at signalized intersections under existing traffic
conditions on Saturday and Sunday during the midday peak hour between 11:00 AM
and 1:00 PM, based on traffic counts provided by the City. The counts were collected
by traffic signal loop detectors in the ground and there were several locations where the
loops did not distribute the volumes into the various movements correctly. It was
assumed that the total approach volumes were correct at these locations and the
specific movements were manually adjusted based on the Existing plus Approved
weekday turning movement percentages and can be seen in Figure 4.
Results of the analysis are presented in Table 6, along with the minimum jurisdictional
standard for acceptable levels of service (as previously described in Operating
Conditions and Criteria). Additional detail of the analysis is provided in the Appendix.
According to Synchro software results, one intersection does not satisfy operational
standards:
Bernal Avenue & Valley Avenue
Table 6 -Weekend Existing Level of Service Summary
Existing

- ~ ~ ~_Intersection ~Critena ~==~Sat Peak ~- ~~Sun: Peak ~,
° SOS Delay :.LDS :~ .Deiay
1 Santa Rita Road & I-580 EB Ram s /Pimlico Drive D C 26.4 C 24.0
2 Santa Rita Road &Stonerid a Drive D C 24.4 C 25.4
3 Santa Rita Road & Valle Avenue D C 25.3 C 24.6
4 Valley Avenue & Busch Road D A 7.8 A 7.2
5 Stanle Boulevard & Valle Avenue !Bernal Avenue D D 52.9 D 35.9
6 Bernal Avenue & Vineyard Avenue D B 11.4 B 10.2
7 First Street & Vineyard Avenue C 21.7 C 21.9
8 Bernal Avenue & First Street / Sunol Boulevard C 26.3 C 24.1
9 Bernal Avenue & Valle Avenue D D 53.2 B 15.3
10 Hopyard Road & Valley Avenue D B 15.6 B 15.7
11 Hopyard Road & Owens Drive D D 46.1 C 30.4
12 Ho and Road &Stonerid a Drive D C 32.7 C 29.2
PleasantonHomeDepot08.FinalReport.doc 11 October 16, 2007
