Invitation to Bid on "As Needed Services " OTHER REQUIREMENTS The rates shall remain firm during the entire first year term of the Contract. For the second or subsequent years of the Contract term, the Contractor will be allowed with City approval and upon written request to adjust prospectively pricing that will apply during that year. If requested, pricing will be adjusted by the percentage change of the C.P.I. (Consumer Price Index) for the San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose area for the year following the date of the City's issuance of a written Notice to Proceed for the Contract, as evidence by the most recent C.P.I. figures available to the City. The term of this Agreement is from December 1, 2007 through June 30`", 2009. Upon written agreement of both parties, the term of this Agreement maybe extended for up to two (2) additional one-year terms. The selected Contractor will be required to execute the City's standard form contract agreement upon successfully negotiating a final scope and fee proposal with the City. A copy of said agreement is enclosed as Attachment 1 for review. The selected Contractor and its sub-contractors shall be required to submit certificates of worker's compensation insurance and liability insurance in accordance with the requirements of the standard contract agreement. The selected Contractor and its sub-contractors shall each be required to obtain a City business license. Selection Procedures It is the City's intention to qualify multiple contractors in each category to perform potential as needed services. Selection shall be based on the most qualified firms in terms of past experience and statement of references, as well as offering the most competitive rates.
