The Parks CIP Funds ended the year with a favorable variance of actuals (plus
carryovers) to adjusted budget of $257,028. Two items make up this difference.
Measure B revenue was $1,083 less than expected and interest income was $258,111
more than expected.
Quarter Four Adjustments: Council is being asked to approve the $783 decrease in the
transfer to the Misc CIP from project #038030 "Delucchi Park Downtown Restrooms".
The $37,947 transfer from project #037049 "Bernal Creek Restoration" to project
#007065 "Bernal Community Park" was already approved by Council in June 2007 as
was the $1,324,411 transfer from the Misc CIP CIPR to the Alviso Adobe Project in
June 2007.
PARKS
Tota I
Budgeted Ending Fund Balance $ 555,743
Add back Developer Revenue 216,675
Projected Ending Fund Balance $ 772,418
Actual Fund Balance after Carryovers 1,029,446
Variance favorable/(unfavorable) $ 257,028
The Streets CIP Funds ended the year with a favorable variance of actuals (plus
carryovers) to adjusted budget of $584,007. The reason for this positive variance is that
overall revenues were $584,007 higher than expected. Although Measure B revenue
was $3,676 lower, interest income was $360,595 higher, Dougherty Valley mitigation
fees were $62,700 higher, City of Dublin reimbursements were $145,177 higher, and
State gas tax revenues were $19,211 higher than expected.
Quarter Four Adjustments: Council is being asked to approve a $41,000 correction to
grant revenue and various minor transfers between projects. Other changes in quarter
four have already been approved by Council.
STREETS
Total
Budgeted Ending Fund Balance $ 3,857,983
Add back Developer Revenue 938,948
Projected Ending Fund Balance $ 4,796,931
Actual Fund Balance after Carryovers 5,380,938
Variance favorable/(unfavorable) $ 584,007
Page 4 of 5
