"20.04.010 Uniform Administrative Code Adopted. <br />A. There is adopted for the City of Pleasanton an administrative code for the <br />technical codes including the 2006 International Building and Existing Building <br />Codes, the 2006 Uniform Mechanical Code, the 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code <br />and the 2005 National Electrical Code as herein described. The administrative <br />code shall be known as the Uniform Administrative Code and the same is <br />adopted and incorporated as set out in this chapter. <br />B. Where there is a reference in Administrative Code to the "Building Official", <br />Code Official", or "Authority Having Jurisdiction" it shall mean the Chief Building <br />and Safety Official or in the absence of the Chief, the interim, temporary or <br />acting Chief Building and Safety Official. <br />Section 20.04.015 Uniform Administrative Code <br />Chapter 1A <br />TITLE, SCOPE AND GENERAL <br />SECTION 101A -TITLE, PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br />101A.1 Title. These regulations shall be known as the Uniform Administrative Code, <br />may be cited as such and will be referred to herein as "this code." <br />101 A.2 Purpose. The purpose of this code is to provide for the administration and <br />enforcement of the Building, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical and Existing Building <br />Codes which may also be referred to as the "technical codes" as adopted by the City of <br />Pleasanton. <br />101A.3 Scope. The provisions of this code shall serve as the administrative, <br />organizational and enforcement rules and regulations for the technical codes which <br />regulate site preparation and construction, alteration, moving, demolition, repair, use <br />and occupancy of buildings, structures and building and/or property service equipment <br />within this jurisdiction. Wherein any provisions in this code conflict with section 108 of <br />the California Building Code for all occupancies regulated by Housing and Community <br />Development (HCD) that section shall govern. <br />SECTION 102A-APPLICATION TO EXISTING <br />BUILDINGS AND BUILDING SERVICE EQUIPMENT <br />102A.1 General.
