aforesaid shall have the right to sell the salvage and valuable materials at the highest <br />price obtainable. The net proceeds of such sale, after deducting the expenses of such <br />demolition and removal, shall be promptly remitted with a report of such sale or <br />transaction, including the items of expense and the amounts deducted, for the person <br />who is entitled thereto, subject to any order of a court. If such a surplus does not remain <br />to be turned over, the report shall so state. <br />SECTION 204A -BOARD OF APPEALS <br />204A.1 General. In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or <br />determinations made by the Building and Safety Official relative to the application and <br />interpretations of the technical code, there shall be and is hereby created a board of <br />appeals consisting of members who are qualified by experience and training to pass <br />upon matters pertaining to building construction and building and/or property service <br />equipment and who are not employees of the jurisdiction. The Building and Safety <br />Official shall he an ex officio member and shall act as secretary to said board but shall <br />have no vote upon any matter before the board. The board of appeals shall be <br />appointed by the governing body and shall hold office at its pleasure. The board shall <br />adopt rules of procedure for conducting its business and shall render all decisions and <br />findings in writing to the appellant with a duplicate copy to the Building and Safety <br />Official. <br />204A.2 Limitations of Authority. The board of appeals shall have no authority relative to <br />interpretation of the administrative provisions of this code or the administrative <br />provisions of the technical codes nor shall the board be empowered to waive <br />requirements of either this code or the technical codes. <br />SECTION 205A -VIOLATIONS <br />It shall be unlawful for a person, firm or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, <br />alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert or demolish, equip, use, occupy or <br />maintain any building, structure or building and/or property service equipment, or <br />cause or permit the same to be done in violation of this code and the technical <br />codes. Penalties for violations will be as provided in Section 1.12.020 of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code. <br />Chapter 3A <br />PERMITS AND INSPECTIONS <br />SECTION 301A -PERMITS <br />301 A.1 Permits Required.
