The City of Pleasanton must
revise its Building Code to be consistent with the new State Building Code by January 1,
2008, to be able to continue to issue building permits from that date forward. The
proposed amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code will not make the Building
Code more restrictive than what is currently being used.
RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the attached urgency ordinance that
amends Title 20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code by amending Chapters 20.04, 20.08,
20.12, 20.16, 20.20, 20.24, 20.32 and 20.34 and adding Chapters 20.60 and 20.65 to
the Pleasanton Municipal Code.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The adoption of this ordinance should not result in any fiscal impact.
