CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-272 <br /> <br /> AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION TO TH~ <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND <br /> EXECUTION OF ALL IMPLEMENTING DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION <br /> THEREWITH FOR FUNDING UNDER THE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT <br /> GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development has <br /> issued a notice of funding availability under the <br /> Housing Development Grant Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the new construction of a 200-unit elderly housing <br /> project to be owned and developed by Eden Housing, Inc. <br /> on property located near the intersection of Bernal <br /> Avenue and Old Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, California, <br /> would appear to fit the criteria necessary to be <br /> eligible for funding under the Housing Development Grant <br /> Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public and all interested parties have had the <br /> opportunity to comment on the project; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> submit a Housing Development Grant Application to the <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development for funding <br /> or a 200-unit project to be owned and developed by Eden <br /> Housing, Inc., and to execute all implementing documents <br /> in connection therewith. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 16, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None NNE~TH/R.
