(d) For the sole purpose of giving official status to the performance of <br />the services to be provided under this Agreement, every City officer and <br />employee engaqed in-performing any such service shall be deemed to be an <br />officer or an employee of the County. <br /> <br /> 4. NO CHANGE IN EMPLOYMENT. (a) All persons employed in the <br />performance of the services to be provided under this Agreement shall be City <br />employees and shall not have any status or rights as County employees, <br />including but not limited to pension or civil service rights. <br /> <br /> (b) County shall not be liable for the direct payment of any salaries, <br />wages, or other compensation to any City employees performing services <br />hereunder for the County or for any liability for the compensation of, or <br />indemnity to, any City employee for injury or illness arising out of his <br />employment. <br /> <br /> (c) The City aqrees to indemnify and hold harmless the County and its <br />officers and employees against liability for injury or damage caused by any <br />negligent act or omission of any City employees or volunteers or agents in the <br />performance of this Aqreement and shall hold County harmless from any loss <br />occasioned as a result of the performance of this Aqreement by the City. The <br />Cit.v shall provide necessary workers' compensation indemnity at the City's own <br />cost and expense. <br /> <br /> -3- <br /> <br /> <br />
