AGREEMENT FOR <br /> <br /> FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and'entered into this day of , <br /> <br />1987, by and between the COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, hereinafter referred to as the <br /> <br />"County" and the CITY OF PLEASANTON, hereinafter referred to as the "City." <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the County is desirous of contractinq with the City for the <br />performance of fire protection services within the boundaries of the County <br /> <br />Service Areas "Rennon", F 1964-1; "Castlewood", F 1965-1; and "HapPy Valley", <br />F 1965-2; hereinafter referred to as the "County Service Areas"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such contracts are authorized by Government Code Section 55632; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is aqreed as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. SCOPE. (a) The City agrees to provide fire protection services <br />within the County Service Areas. <br /> <br /> (b) The City's Fire Department shall resoond within the County Service <br />Areas in the same manner, usinq the same procedures, and Drovidinq to the <br />extent possible the same kind of services as are provided within the City. <br /> <br /> 2. PAYMENT. (a) For fiscal year 1986-87 one lump sum payment will be <br />made June 30, 1987. For each subsequent fiscal year the County will Day the <br />City in two equal payments payable December 1 and June 1 of the fiscal year in <br />which services are rendered. <br /> <br /> <br />
