CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-243 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAILING OF NOTICE OF INTENTION TO <br /> ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF NECESSITY AND SETTING PUBLIC <br /> HEARING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to provide adequate water storage capacity and <br /> to balance water pressure in the existing system, a <br /> proposed new reservoir has been designed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the proposed construction <br /> schedule for the Sycamore Reservoir, staff recommends <br /> initiating an eminent domain proceeding; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of June 2, 1987, Council reviewed the <br /> report (SR 87:254) from the City Attorney's office <br /> regarding the necessary procedures; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes staff to send a Notice of Intent to Adopt <br /> a Resolution of Necessity to Condemn Real Property for <br /> the Construction of the Sycamore Water Reservoir, <br /> Pleasanton, California. <br /> <br />Section 2: Council hereby sets July 7, 1987, at the hour of 8:00 <br /> p.m., in the regular meeting place of the City Council <br /> as the time and place to hear all protests regarding the <br /> adoption of a Resolution of Necessity. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 2, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> ABSTAIN: None N~E~/R.~ <br /> ATTEST: <br /> KE <br /> <br /> es R.
