It is our understanding <br /> that the City of Pleasanton (City) desires a Predesign Report to be <br /> prepared to provide preliminary engineering design information and <br /> costs associated with the proposed East Amador Valley Combined Flow <br /> Pumping Station. Brown and Caldwell completed a feasibility study <br /> for the City of Pleasanton for handling East Amador Valley waste- <br /> water flows and presented its results in a report titled, "Pumping <br /> Alternatives for East Amador Sewage Flows, January 1986." The <br /> report was accepted by the City but implementation of its recommen- <br /> dations had been deferred until now because of funding limitations <br /> and other priorities established in the "Sewer Master Plan for the <br /> City of Pleasanton, January 1986" prepared by others. Our proposed <br /> scope of services is enclosed as Exhibit A. <br /> <br /> We propose to do the work on a time and materials basis with a not- <br /> to-exceed limit of $29,750, based on the attached hourly billing <br /> rate schedule. Nonsalary costs would be charged at cost plus a <br /> 10 percent service charge.
