CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-219 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION CONFIRMING REPORT, ORDERING IMPROVEMENT <br /> AND LEVYING ANNUAL ASSESSMENT <br /> <br /> ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 1984-1 <br /> (Pursuant to the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has taken a series of actions <br /> preliminary to ordering the improvement in Assessment <br /> District No. 1984-1, and now makes the following <br /> findings and orders: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council adopted its Resolution Initiating <br /> Proceedings for the improvement described therein under <br /> the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972, and directed <br /> the Engineer of Work for the assessment district, to <br /> prepare the report required by Section 22656, and <br /> following, of the Streets and Highways Code. The <br /> improvements are generally described on Exhibit "A", <br /> attached hereto and made a part hereof by this <br /> reference. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Engineer of Work filed the report as directed, <br /> and the City Council adopted its Resolution of Intention <br /> calling a hearing on the report as required by Section <br /> 22587 of the Streets and Highways Code. Notice of the <br /> hearing was given by publication to affected property <br /> owners, all according to the Landscaping and Lighting <br /> Act of 1972. Affidavit of publication was filed with <br /> the City Clerk. <br /> <br />Section 3: At the time and place for which notice was given, the <br /> City Council conducted a public hearing and gave every <br /> interested person an opportunity to object to the <br /> proposed improvement, the extend of the assessment <br /> district, or the proposed assessment. <br /> <br />Section 4: The City Council finds that written protests against <br /> the proposed improvement have not been made by owners <br /> representing more than one-half of the area of the land <br /> to be assessed for the improvements. <br /> <br />Section 5: The documents and events described in paragraphs 1 to <br /> 4, inclusive, are now on file with the City Clerk. <br /> <br /> <br />
