CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-395 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO COBURN <br /> CONSTRUCTION FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE FIRE TRAINING TOWER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of the Fire Training Tower; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering S.ervices Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 1, <br /> 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Coburn Construction, in the amount of <br /> $1,778,900.00 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Coburn Construction be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Coburn Construction, in the amount of <br /> $1,778,900.00, for construction of the Fire Training <br /> Tower, is hereby accepted by the City Council as the <br /> lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Coburn Construction for the improvements specified <br /> above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
