PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2007-40 <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF DENNIS LONG, ROBERT LEETE, AND <br />FRANK MORGAN, JR., THEREBY UPHOLDING THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S <br />APPROVAL OF AN ADMINISTRATIVE DESIGN REVIEW, AS FILED UNDER <br />CASE PAP-108 (PADR-1698) <br />WHEREAS, Scott Smith has applied for an administrative design review approval to <br />construct an approximately 64-square-foot first-story addition to the left <br />side and an approximately 273-square-foot second-story addition to the <br />right side of the existing residence located at 3496 Whitehall Court; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, following three hearings on May 17, 2007, July 12, 2007, and July 20, <br />2007, the Zoning Administrator approved the application for administrative <br />design review on July 20, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, on August 1, 2007, Dennis Long, Robert Leete, and Frank Morgan, Jr., <br />filed an appeal of the Zoning Administrator's decision to the Planning <br />Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of September 26, 2007, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of <br />the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Section 15301, Existing <br />Facilities, Class 1; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project is <br />consistent with the appearance of the existing buildings in the area <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Denies Case PAP-108, the appeal of Dennis Long, Robert Leete, and <br />Frank Morgan, Jr., thereby upholding the Zoning Administrator's approval <br />of Case PADR-1698, the application of Scott Smith for administrative <br />design review approval to construct an approximately 64-square-foot <br />first-story addition to the left side and an approximately 273-square-foot <br />
