CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-389 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BID8 AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO O. C. JONES & <br /> 8ON8, FOR RESURFACING VARIOUS CITY STREETS, PROJECT NO. <br /> 87-07B <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> resurfacing various City streets, Project No. 87-07B; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on September 1, <br /> 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons, in the amount of <br /> $160,033.50 was determined to be the lowest responsible <br /> bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of O. C. Jones & Sons be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of O. C. Jones & Sons, in the amount of <br /> $160,033.50, for resurfacing various City streets, <br /> Project No. 87-07B, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> O. C. Jones & Sons for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
