Optional Accessories <br />7. RIT/UAC <br />a. The RIT/UAC shall be capable of being used in an 1DLH environment. <br />b. The RIT/UAC shall not incorporate acheck-valve to prevent transfili (i.e. transfer and <br />equalization between two cylinders). <br />8. Communication Unit <br />8.1 Voice Amplification Unit <br />a. A fully integrated voice amplification unit shall be available which can be easily attached to <br />the facepiece without the use of tools for ease of cleaning and disinfection. .. <br />b. The integrated voice amplifier must have two (2) speakers, one on either side of the mask at <br />cheek level. <br />c. The addition of the communication unit shall not break the integrity of the facepiece seal. <br />d. A speech transmission diaphragm is required to provide back up in the event of battery or <br />communication unit failure. <br />e. The units shall utilize an internal microphone and integrated ear speaker (optional) for clear <br />transmissions. <br />f. The power supply for the voice amplifier shall be an alkaline battery. <br />8.2 Radio Interface System <br />a. The radio interface system shall connect directly to the voice amplifier system. <br />b. The radio interface shall include an ear speaker that will connect to a large (easily depressed <br />with a structural firefighting gloved hand) Push to Talk (PTT) button or lapel microphone. <br />c. The radio interface must utilize a mounting clip for multiple positioning options. <br />d. Radio interface shall connect to the ear speaker/PTT assembly via a shielded quick connect. <br />9 Extension hose for Buddy Breathing (with standard Auxiliary Airline hose described above) _- <br />a. An extension hose for buddy breathing with a Nomex pouch that can be attached to the <br />backplate shall be available as an option. <br />b. The hose shall be 40 inches long and have one (1) female Rectus fitting and one (1) male <br />Rectus fitting for connecting as a buddy breather to another fire fighter or connected to an <br />auxiliary airline. <br />c. When not in use the line shall be coiled in a nomex pouch that shall be located on the waist <br />belt. <br />9. Heads UP Display (HUD) <br />a. The HUD system must be a wireless system with the mask receiver positioned inside the <br />mask. The HUD system must automatically activate when the cylinder is opened, <br />pressurizing the SCBA pneumatics. <br />b. The power supply must be a lithium battery. <br />9 <br />
