CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-372 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NEGOTIATION8 WITH AMADOR JOINT <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP OF AMADOR <br /> THEATER TO THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on June 3, 1986, the City entered into a Joint Powers <br /> Agreement regarding renovation of Amador Theater; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Phases I and I have been completed and plans are being <br /> prepared for Phase III; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, because the theater is owned by the school district, the <br /> plans must meet the requirements of the State <br /> Architect's office; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if the theater were owned by the City, plans could be <br /> drawn in compliance with the standard building codes and <br /> would provide a considerable reduction in cost; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Authorizes city staff to enter into negotiations with <br /> the Amador Joint High School District staff and to draft <br /> a modification to the existing Joint Powers Agreement, <br /> transferring ownership of the theater to the City, for <br /> later consideration of the City Council and the School <br /> Board. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 18, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None ~M~ <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> KEN <br /> <br /> c% <br /> Peer D.
