CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-364 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF NEW ALARM MONITORING <br /> RECEIVER AND AMENDING FEES AND CHARGES RESOLUTION TO <br /> INCREASE SUBSCRIBER CHARGERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of August 18, 1987, the City Council <br /> received the report of the Chief of Police requesting a <br /> budget amendment for the purchase of a new receiver to <br /> monitor fire, burglary and robbery alarms and to <br /> increase subscriber charges for users of alarms <br /> connected directly to the police department; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the new equipment is required in order to be compatible <br /> with the fiber optic cables being installed by Pacific <br /> Bell and to comply with State Fire Marshal requirements <br /> for fire alarm receivers; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves the purchase of a new receiver to monitor <br /> the City's fire, burglary and robbery alarms. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Authorizes an amendment to the Police Department <br /> budget by adding $21,000 for the purchase of the new <br /> receiver. <br /> <br /> Section 3: Amends the fees and charges resolution (Resolution <br /> No. 77-123), Section V (F), increasing the Alarm Service <br /> Fee from $105.00 to $180.00. <br /> <br /> Section 4: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED AUGUST 18, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson and Mayor <br /> Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None ~~~/t/ <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> ATTEST: <br /> KEMNE~H R.
