City of Pleasanton <br />City Grant <br />Fisca/ Year 2008/09 <br />Evaluation <br />Application Evaluation Process <br />1. Application Review/Evaluation <br />Staff will screen each application for completeness. Accepted applications will be <br />forwarded to the appropriate Commission for review. <br />2. Mandatory Presentation -Public Hearings <br />Civic Arts Commission April 7, 2008 7:00 p.m. (Council Chambers) <br />Human Services Commission: April 2, 2008 6:30 p.m. (Council Chambers) <br />Youth Commission: April 9, 2008 7:00 p.m. (Senior Center) <br />Each applicant agency must address its application in a Public Hearing before the <br />appropriate Commission. The Commissions will review and evaluate the appropriate <br />applications, then make funding recommendations to be forwarded to the City Council in <br />one (1) combined staff report. <br />Presentations will be limited to (5) five minutes and must address the following: <br />/ Need in Pleasanton for specific funding request. <br />/ Define your proposed clients/participants. <br />/ Number of Pleasanton residents to be served (non-duplicative). <br />/ Past organizational challenges and how you addressed them. <br />/ Success or impact of past funding. <br />3. City Council Approval <br />The City Council will consider the funding recommendations in May/June during <br />the City's Annual Budget process. Agencies whose projects are approved will be <br />notified in writing after July 1, 2008. <br />4. Project funding is not available until July 1, 2008. <br />vii <br />
