On 18 June 1986 the Pleasanton Park and Recreation Commission approved <br />the following 16 point program for Augustin Bernsl Park: <br /> <br />1. Vehicular traffic (including all wheeled vehicles) <br /> shall beltmired to service vehlcles and special <br /> population transports. <br /> <br />2. Trails will be developed to encourage hiking. <br /> Split log benches will be provided at key <br /> locations. <br /> <br /> Equestrian use will be for City o~ Pleasanton <br /> residents only, and will be allowed on the Valley <br /> View, Golden Eagle, end Longview Trails. Horse <br /> trailers will require permits to access Staging <br /> Area. <br /> <br />4. Two primitive ovamite campsites will be provided <br /> with minimal amenities including: fire ring, picnic <br /> tables, water, restrooms, and tent areas. Use will <br /> be for groups by permit only. <br /> <br /> One daycamp site will be provided with minimml <br /> amenities including: picnic tables, fire ring, <br /> restroom, water. Use will be ~or groups by permit. <br /> <br />6. Smell picnic arems will be provided along the ridge <br /> end will include picnic tables and trash <br /> receptacles only. <br /> <br />7. Sites will be located for tethering horses. <br /> <br />8. Park hours will be 8:00 A.H. until dusk. <br /> <br />9. The Staging Area will serve as the arrival area to <br /> the perk and wlll lnclude the following features: <br /> <br /> Parklng for 50 vehtchles with provision for a <br /> llmlted number of buses and horse trailers; <br /> <br /> Amentries such ms water, restrocms, plcnic tables, <br /> and berbeque pits. <br /> <br /> Pmrk orientation including site map and <br /> interpretlye information. <br /> <br /> 10. Hang gliding will not be permitted. <br /> <br /> <br />
