CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-540 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING MASTER PLAN FOR VET~RAN'8 PLAZA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 1, 1987, Council reviewed the <br />report of the Director of Parks and Community Services <br />(SR 87:529) regarding the proposed master plan for <br />Veteran's Plaza, a 0.5 acre undeveloped downtown park <br />located on the southwest corner of Peters Avenue and <br />Division Street; the master plan includes a children's <br /> play area, landscaping, seating area, permanent <br /> veteran's memorial, and a masonry wall; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating no <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment, a <br /> negative declaration was adopted by Council on December <br /> 1, 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Park and Recreation Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the Master Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held regarding the <br /> proposed master plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this Master Plan is <br /> consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of <br /> Pleasanton; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves the Master Plan for Veteran's Plaza <br /> as submitted by Singer and Hodges, Inc. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
