Exhibit A <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT NO. 1 <br /> <br /> HACIENDA DRIVE AND <br /> <br /> SANTA RITA ROAD INTERCHANGES PROJECT <br /> <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City of Pleasanton (CITY), through the North Pleasanton <br />Improvement District {NPID No. 3), is proposing to finance <br />and construct improvements to the existing Santa Rita Road <br />interchange with Interstate Route 580 (I-580) and construct <br />a new Hacienda Drive interchange located between the exist- <br />ing interchanges of Santa Rita Road and Hopyard Road with <br />1-580. The proposed improvements generally include: <br /> <br />SANTA RITA ROAD INTERCHANGE MODIFICATIONS <br /> <br />The modifications to the Santa Rita Road Interchange will <br />include construction of a new overcrossing of 1-580 parallel <br />to the existing structure and ramp improvements to provide a <br />standard partial cloverleaf (par clo) configuration. The <br />portion of these modifications to be funded through NPID <br /> <br />No. 3 are as follows: <br /> <br /> o Construct a new overcrossing of 1-580 parallel to <br /> the existing structure to provide three additional <br /> lanes over 1-580 and make modifications to Santa <br /> Rita Road to accommodate widening of Santa Rita <br /> Road. <br /> <br /> o Provide a new diagonal on-ramp from northbound <br /> Santa Rita Road to eastbound 1-580. <br /> <br /> <br />
