CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-522 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF PROPOSALS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO COOPER & <br /> SWORD FOR CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN OF DOWNTOWN STREET <br /> RECONSTRUCTION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, proposals were solicited from four engineering firms for <br /> design of the Railroad, Division, Spring and St. Mary's <br /> street reconstruction; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at its meeting of December 1, 1987, Council reviewed the <br /> proposals and the recommendation of the Director of <br /> Public Works and Utilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the bid of Cooper & Sword was determined to be the <br /> lowest responsible bid; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Approves a contract with Cooper & Sword for civil <br /> engineering design of downtown street reconstruction. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract <br /> with Cooper & Sword for the work specified above. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This resolution sha].l become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED DECEMBER 1, 1987 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wilson, and <br /> Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None NN/xT~HR.~~M <br /> ATTEST: ~ <br /> K AYOR <br />~j~~. ~al~y Clerk <br /> By Doris George, Deputy City Clerk <br /> <br /> P~t~'D.~MacDonald, ~it~'A~torney <br /> <br /> <br />
