CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 87-519 RESOLUTION APPROVING JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT TO CREATE ALAMEDA COUNTY WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY AND AN AMENDMENT TO THE EXISTING JPA DISSOLVING THE ALAMEDA COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors has executed a Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement to create the Alameda County Waste Management Authority to prepare and maintain the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Plan and the Alameda County Hazardous Waste Management Plan; and WHEREAS, the Alameda County Board of Supervisors has executed an amendment to the Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement which created the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Authority. Said amendment is to transfer all assets of said Authority to the Alameda County Waste Management Authority and dissolve the Alameda County Solid Waste Management Authority; and WHEREAS, these actions are found to be categorically exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act Section 15320; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: This resolution does hereby authorize and direct the Mayor to execute the above referenced agreements, copies of which are attached hereto, on behalf of the City of Pleasanton. Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
