CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-513 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING MASTER PLAN FOR NIELSEN PARK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of November 17, 1987, Council reviewed <br /> the report of the Director of Parks and Community <br /> Services (SR 87:510) regarding the proposed master plan <br /> for Nielsen Park, to be located on an approximately five <br /> acre site, in the northeast section of Pleasanton, <br /> generally within the area bounded by Stoneridge Drive, <br /> Oakland Avenue, Eilene Drive, and Kamp Drive, including <br /> landscaping, development of basketball courts, open play <br /> areas, children's play facilities, casual picnic area, <br /> and other related improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study indicating no <br /> significant adverse effects on the environment, a <br /> negative declaration was adopted by Council on <br /> November 17, 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Park and Recreation Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the Master Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held regarding the <br /> proposed master plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this Master Plan is <br /> consistent with the General Plan policies of the City of <br /> Pleasanton; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Council approves the Master Plan for Nielsen Park as <br /> submitted by MPA Design. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
