MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br />Councilmember Sullivan asked to revisit the Livermore Airport issue. <br />Councilmember McGovern agreed and felt the public needs to know what is being done and <br />said the City has hired a consultant to work on this who could provide valuable information. <br />Councilmember Thorne and Cook-Kallio agreed. <br />Mayor Hosterman said she continues to receive emails from individuals regarding recreational <br />vehicles parked on residential streets and asked to agendize a discussion. City Manager Fialho <br />said the matter has been referred through staff to the Planning Commission to study the <br />options, evaluate it and provide the Council with a recommendation. <br />Councilmember McGovern said the Council has had questions from the Planning Commission <br />regarding a fire sprinkler ordinance and she asked if the City has looked at doing this. City <br />Manager Fialho said this had initially come forward to the Council as a recommendation by the <br />Planning Commission, the Council chose staff not to spend time on it until the general plan <br />update and other immediate projects are completed. However, in the meantime, staff has been <br />conditioning all projects that come forward with fire sprinklers, so the need is being addressed. <br />Councilmember McGovern noted salary increases for Mayor and Council has been pulled from <br />the agenda and she confirmed a second hearing was not required to be scheduled within a <br />certain period of time. City Manager Fialho said this can be agendized for October 2, 2007. <br />COUNCIL REPORTS <br />20. Brief reports on conferences, seminars, and meetings attended by the Mayor and City <br />Council. <br />Councilmember Throne reported the cities voted on all resolutions at the California League of <br />Cities, which he received no comment from the Council, and all had passed. <br />Councilmember McGovern said LAVTA is looking for a public hearing date on the rapid transit <br />route coming through Pleasanton, and people living along Stanley were promised notification <br />and she confirmed it was tentatively scheduled for November 14, 2007.
