Ib <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 18, 2007 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Thorne led the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Introductory Comments <br />Councilmember Thorne gave the following introductory comments: The Pleasanton Downtown <br />Association is hosting its Heritage Day Festival September 22 and 23; Pleasanton Partnerships <br />in Education (PPIE) invites the community to attend this year's Bon Appetit Toast and Taste of <br />Fall on Saturday, September 13; re-dedication ceremony for the Downtown Veterans Memorial <br />Building on Sunday, October 7. In addition, Councilmember Thorne recognized Ryan Howard <br />who served in the Navy and Marine Ian Dollar and highlighted their military service. <br />Roll Call <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS: City Manager Fialho referred to the item for presentation of <br />commendations to individuals that assisted law enforcement in carjacking case which is being <br />re-scheduled to October 2, 2007. <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Mayor Hosterman requested pulling PDR-668, Sam Patel, Guesthouse Inn & Suites from Item 2 <br />in order for her to speak with the property owner. <br />City Manager <br />1. Public Hearing: Reviewed the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and <br />approved the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for <br />Fiscal Year 2006 (06/07) for submittal to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD) <br />Planning <br />2. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission with the exception <br />of PDR-668, Sam Patel, Guesthouse Inn & Suites <br />3. Public Hearing: PUD-99-01-04M, Jeremy and Josie Garnish -Introduced Ordinance <br />No. 1960 approving an application for a major modification to allow an existing solid fence <br />to remain, where open fencing is required, along a portion of the rear and side property <br />line of the property located at 4546 River Rock Hill. Zoning for the property is <br />PUD-RDR/LDR (Planned Unit Development -Rural Density ResidentiaVLow Density <br />Residential) District <br />
