CONTRACT FOR CONSULTANT SERVICES <br /> PLEASANTON SPORTS AND RECREATION PARK, PHASE V <br /> <br /> AMENDMaNT NO · 1 <br /> <br /> THE AGREEMENT originally made and entered into December 2, <br />1986, is hereby amended on this day of , <br />1987, by and between the CXTY O~ P~ASa~OM, a municipal <br />corporation (hereinafter referred to as "City"), and' AKA <br />LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTS (hereinafter referred to as "Consultant"). <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the original Agreement entered into on <br />December 2,1986 remains in full force and effect, except as <br />hereinafter amended as follows: <br /> <br /> 6. Term. It is recognized'by both parties hereto that time <br />is of the essence. Consultant shall begin work on December 17, <br />1986. The work, as described in Exhibit "A", Scope of Work, <br />dated November 14, 1986 and October 6, 1987, which is entitled <br />"Fee Proposal For Additional Services, Pleasanton Sports Park, <br />Phase V Roadway, Parking Lots, and Bike Path," shall be completed <br />by December 31, 1988, dependent upon weather permitting and City <br />review time. <br /> <br /> 7. Compensation. For the services to be rendered <br />hereunder, City shall pay Consultant on a time-and-materials <br />basis based on rate schedule per attached Exhibit "B" as follows: <br /> <br /> a. Scope of Work - dated November 14, 1986, an amount <br /> not to exceed $174,900.00. <br /> <br /> b. Scope of Work - dated October 6, 1987,'an amount <br /> not to exceed $84,057.00. <br /> <br />Partial payment shall be made on a monthly basis in proportion to <br />the percentage of work completed, upon receipt of Consultant's <br />invoice and the approval of the Public Works Director as to the <br />percentage completion claimed. Payment shall be made within <br />thirty (30) days of receipt of Consultant's invoice. <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
