CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-487 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO DAR-NEL <br /> CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, INC., FOR REMODELING OF CITY HALL <br /> AND ANNEX AT 123 MAIN STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> remodeling City Hall and the Annex at 123 Main Street; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on November 3, <br /> 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Dar-Nel Construction Company, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $306,495.00 was determined to be the lowest <br /> responsible bid; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of Dar-Nel Construction Company, Inc. be <br /> accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The bid of Dar-Nel Construction Company, Inc., in the <br /> amount of $306.495.00, for remodeling City Hall and the <br /> Annex at 123 Main street, is hereby accepted by the City <br /> Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br />Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> Dar-Nel Construction Company, Inc. for the improvements <br /> specified above. <br /> <br />Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
