PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2006-44 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE GENERAL PLAN <br />AMENDMENT FOR CHARLES AUSTIN AND SCOTT AUSTIN, <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE PGPA-11 <br />WHEREAS, Charles Austin and Scott Austin have applied for General Plan <br />Amendment to change the land use designation of an approximately <br />30-acre hillside property from Rural Density Residential (1 du/5 ac) to <br />Low Density Residential (<2 du/ac) land uses on approximately eight <br />acres with a maximum density of eight units and Agriculture and Grazing <br />land uses on the remaining 22 acres, for the property located at 3459 Old <br />Foothill Road; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 23, 2006, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recommended approval for the Negative <br />Declaration prepared for this project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment is consistent with the Goals and Policies of the Pleasanton <br />General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of the application of Charles Austin and Scott <br />Austin for a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation <br />of an approximately 30-acre hillside property from Rural Density <br />Residential (1 du/5 ac) to Low Density Residential (<2 du/ac) land uses on <br />approximately eight acres with a maximum density of eight units and <br />Agriculture and Grazing land uses on the remaining 22 acres, for the <br />property located at 3459 Old Foothill Road, as shown on the attached <br />Exhibit A. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and <br />adoption unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
