CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-474 <br /> <br /> REVIEW OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT TO THE YARD, FOR <br /> CONSTRUCTION OF HOPYARD ROAD SOUNDWALLS, PROJECT NO. <br /> 87-53 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared plans and specifications for <br /> construction of the Hopyard Road soundwalls, one section <br /> along the west side of Hopyard between Black Avenue and <br /> Golden Road and one section along the east side near <br /> Secretariat Drive, Project No. 87-53; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 37900, et seq., the <br /> City Engineering Services Division advertised for bids <br /> regarding this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, bids were reviewed by the City Council on October 20, <br /> 1987; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid of The Yard, in the amount of $121,704.60 was <br /> determined to be the lowest responsible bid for the <br /> seven foot split face wall; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works and Utilities recommended <br /> that the bid of The Yard be accepted; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The bid of The Yard, in the amount of $121,704.60, <br /> for construction of the seven foot split face soundwalls <br /> on Hopyard Road, Project No. 87-53, is hereby accepted <br /> by the City Council as the lowest responsible bid. <br /> <br /> Section 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute a contract with <br /> The Yard for the improvements specified above. <br /> <br /> Section 3: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
