RESOLUTION NO. 07-148 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE <br />LIVERMORE-PLEASANTON FIRE DEPARTMENT JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY <br />AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, LOCAL 1974 FOR <br />THE TERM OF AUGUST 1, 2007 THROUGH JULY 31, 2010 <br />WHEREAS, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire <br />Department Joint Powers Authority and the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 <br />expired on July 31, 2007 and, <br />WHEREAS, representatives from the partner cities of Livermore and Pleasanton have <br />met and conferred with representatives of IAFF, Local 1974 in accordance with the Joint Powers <br />Authority Agreement, and prepared a successor agreement covering the period August 1, 2007 <br />through July 31, 2010 <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1: Approve and authorize the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of <br />Understanding between the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Joint Powers Authority and <br />the International Association of Firefighters, Local 1974 for the term commencing August 1, <br />2007 through July 31, 2007. <br />Section 2: City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this resolution and enter it into the <br />book of original resolutions. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at <br />a regular meeting held on September 4, 2007. <br />I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br />resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on September 4, 2007 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None > i <br /><• <br />s <br />Kare Diaz, City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />Michael H.
