CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 87-456 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION DENYING THE APPEAL OF SANTA ANITA DEVELOPMENT <br /> CORPORATION TO A DECISION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> DENYING THE APPLICATION FOR PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT <br /> REZONING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR A <br /> COMMERCIAL/RETAIL CENTER ON APPROXIMATELY 18.2 ACRES <br /> LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF <br /> STANLEY BOULEVARD AND BERNAL AVENUE (AP-S7-2/PUD-86-16) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of January 28, 1987, the Planning <br /> Commission denied the application of Santa Anita <br /> Development Corporation for PUD rezoning and development <br /> plan approval for an approximately 193,845 square foot <br /> commercial/retail center to be located on an <br /> approximately 18.2 acre site at the southeast corner of <br /> the intersection of Stanley Boulevard and Bernal Avenue; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this matter was appealed to the City Council by the <br /> applicant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing was held before the City Council on <br /> October 6, 1987 at which time the applicant and any <br /> other member of the public was offered an opportunity to <br /> present evidence regarding this appeal; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Denies the appeal of Santa Anita Development <br /> Corporation and therefore upholds the decision of the <br /> Planning Commission to deny the application for rezoning <br /> and development plan approval for a commercial/retail <br /> center to be located on approximately 18.2 acres at the <br /> southeast corner of the intersection of Stanley <br /> Boulevard and Bernal Avenue (PUD-86-16). <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately <br /> upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
