PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-63 <br />RESOLUTION MAKING A RECOMMENDATION WITH REGARD TO <br />POPULATION BENCHMARKS TO THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON <br />WHEREAS, at their meeting of May 25, 1988, the Planning <br />Commission made a recommendation to the City Council <br />that the population benchmarks not be used to regulate <br />growth in the City of Pleasanton given the existing <br />ordinances and policies regarding growth management; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 8, 1988, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this matter and determined that a further <br />recommendation to the City Council was necessary to <br />clarify the position of the Planning Commission. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Should the City Council decide to continue to have a <br />population benchmark in their growth management plan <br />that it includes all lands annexed after 1987. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately <br />upon its passage and adoption.. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED JUNE 8, 1988 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioners Berger, Mahern, and Chairman <br />Michelotti <br />NOES: Commissioner Tarver <br />ABSENT: Commissioner Hoyt <br />ABSTAIN: None <br />
