PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-85 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CASE Z-88-315 APPLICATION OF HIRST- <br />BOATRIGHT-ROVAI ENTERPRISES <br />WHEREAS, Hirst-Boatright-Rovai Enterprises has applied for design <br />review approval to modify an existing free standing, <br />directory sign located at 235 Main Street; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CC (Central Commercial) - <br />Civic Overlay District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed meeting of August 10, 1988, the <br />Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of CEQA, therefore no environmental <br />document accompanies this report. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Approves Case Z-88-315, application of Hirst- <br />Boatright-Rovai Enterprises for design review <br />approval to modify an existing free standing, <br />directory sign located at 235 Main Street subject to <br />the following conditions. <br />1. That the sign shall be substantially as shown on <br />the site plan and elevation, Exhibit A, dated <br />July 25, 1988, on file with the Planning <br />Department. <br />2. That there shall be no custom colors used on the <br />shingles or wall mounted signs. <br />3. That the applicant shall maintain these signs at <br />all times in an attractive manner throughout the <br />duration of their existence. <br />4. That the background and lettering colors of the <br />free standing sign and individual wall signs <br />shall be identical. <br />5. That no additional signing shall be installed on <br />the subject property without prior City <br />approval. <br />
