PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-88-119 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF <br />THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AS FILED UNDER CASE RZ-88-7 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to amend the <br />Municipal Code relating to the provisions for signs in <br />the Downtown Revitalization District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 9, <br />1988, the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission concluded that the proposed <br />amendments to the downtown sign ordinance discussed will <br />clarify the areas of the ordinance which are currently <br />unclear. The proposed changes will also create greater <br />flexibility by allowing certain sign types which have <br />been identified as potential enhancements to the <br />aesthetic environment of the downtown area. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-88-7, application to <br />amend the Municipal Code relating to the provisions for <br />signs in the Downtown Revitalization District as shown <br />in the attached exhibit ("Proposed Amendments to <br />Ordinance 1225"). <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective <br />immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON THE 9TH DAY OF NOVEMBER 1988 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br />AYES: Commissioner Berger, Hovingh, Hoyt, Mahern and <br />Michelotti, Chairman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Commissioner Tarver <br />
