PC-8S-126
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE PUD-80-2-11D,
APPLICATION OF THE KOLL COMPANY
WHEREAS, the Koll Company has applied for design review approval
of two five story office buildings, totalling 250,000
sq. ft. of floor area to be constructed on an
approximately 12.8 acre site located at 6711 Koll Center
Parkway; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit
Development) - Industrial, Commercial and Offices
District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of November 22,
1988, the Planning Commission considered all public
testimony, relevant exhibits and recommendations of the
City staff concerning this application; and
WHEREAS, the subject site is located within the "interior"
development area, as delineated by the adopted Koll
Center Pleasanton Design Guidelines. This development
area encourages construction of multi-story buildings
that orient toward the Koll Center Parkway. Building
heights are limited to 75'. In addition, an
approximately 1-acre passive-type park was to be
constructed within this area. The applicant proposes a
development plan that adheres to all of the guidelines
established for this "interior" development area. Other
applicable design criteria (such as building setbacks,
minimum landscape areas, parking lot planting, shared
circulation and access points, etc.) have also been
satisfied with the proposed project. Final revisions to
balcony rail colors, roof screen designs and ground
floor emergency access points would also comply with
these guidelines.
WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report was prepared for the
rezoning and development plan approval for the business
park complex in which this project is located. A
project of this nature was included within the scope of
that Environmental Impact Report.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.
