She noted that it was common to believe that <br />statements were made in a precise manner and that they were not always made with <br />clarity. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson advised that the minutes were not intended to be strictly verbatim minutes, <br />and noted that Ms. Emberson did an excellent job in capturing the content and character <br />of the Commissioners’ statements without capturing every word that was said. <br /> <br />Chairperson Fox inquired whether these minutes could be deferred until the next meeting. <br />Mr. Iserson noted that would be possible. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank noted that on page 15, he had suggested that the meeting audio be <br />available on the City website as a podcast. He believed implementing that suggestion <br />would greatly streamline the review process. <br /> <br />Chairperson Fox noted that it would be helpful to review the minutes within a shorter <br />period of time to aid in recollection. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson requested that the Commissioners consider where the line should be drawn <br />with respect to verbatim minutes. He had seen minutes from other communities and <br />commented that Pleasanton’s minutes were much more complete. He noted that at some <br />point, it would become a burden. <br /> <br />Ms. Harryman noted that the audiotapes were complete and that minutes were not meant <br />to be a verbatim transcript. <br /> <br />Commissioner Blank noted that the Commissioners’ Handbook stated that the audiotape <br />was not considered to be an official record. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson noted that the first sentence of paragraph 5 on page 8 should be <br />modified to read as follows: “Commissioner Olson noted that he had visited looked at <br />Mr. Gupta’s home from the parking lot of the Church and indicated to Mr. Gupta that he <br />and believed that it was the most impacted home by the proposal.” <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson noted that the last sentence of paragraph 5 on page 18 should be <br />modified to read as follows: “She requested that staff check the tape for confirmation.” <br /> <br />With respect to paragraph 5 on page 18 regarding the Sarich workshop, Chairperson Fox <br />inquired whether staff had been able to determine whether she said that she liked the <br />project. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Connor noted that language should be added before the motion on <br />page 12 to reflect his support of having the parking on Stoneridge Drive. <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES January 10, 2007 Page 21 of 27 <br /> <br /> <br />
