_ The minutes of January 24, 2007, were approved as amended.
MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS
Dav Lamas
Commissioner Blank inquired about the progress on the day lamps. Ms. Decker noted that
several alternatives had been forwarded to the Assistant City Manager and that their size,
permanence, and placement had yet to be determined. She noted that the cords may be a tripping
hazard, and that no battery-powered day lamps were available.
Commissioner Blank suggested that a lamp be placed at the back of the dais so the
Commissioners could view the exhibits.
Commissioner O'Connor suggested that it be permanently installed in the wall.
Commissioner Blank would like the lighting solution to be kept simple and inexpensive.
Meetine Podcasts
Commissioner Blank inquired whether there were any updates on the podcasts. Ms. Decker
noted that there was nothing new to report. Commissioner Blank pointed out that there was
_ another question regarding wording in the minutes that would have been clarified had the
podcast been available.
Oak Grove Affordable Housing Proposal
Chairperson Fox inquired whether an affordable housing proposal would be forthcoming with
respect to Oak Grove. Ms. Decker noted that the entire PUD and FEIR would come before the
Planning Commission, and it would be inappropriate to discuss potential points or issues within
the project that were not agendized or noticed. She advised that the Commissioners read the
DEIR and FEIR, and the staff report would address those issues at that time. In response to an
inquiry by Commissioner O'Connor, she noted that it was scheduled for the Mazch 14, 2007
meeting.
In response to an inquiry by Chairperson Fox regarding whether a copy of the FEIR would be
available in the library, Ms. Decker confirmed that a copy could be placed in the library, and that
the Tri-Valley Conservancy would get a copy. She did not know whether there had been an
interest in the Parks and Recreation Commissioners and that the Planning Department would be
informed if they were interested.
8. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW/ACTION
a. Future Planning Calendar
"- No discussion was held or action taken.
PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES February 14, 2007 Page 13 of 14
