CALL TO ORDER: Mayor Hosterman reconvened the meeting in open session at 7:00 p.m. Councilmember Brozosky led the pledge of allegiance. Councilmember Brozosky reminded the public of the Don Lewis Youth Expression concert at the Amador Theater, Oct. 6th at 7:30 p.m. With regard to the upcoming election on November 7th, he reminded the public that a good resource for information on issues and candidates is the League of Women's Voters website at smartvoter.org. He also noted that the City Clerk's Office is offering early voting this year. The public can cast their votes at City Hall beginning October 23rd through Election Day between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. He commented on the problem of people removing campaign signs from yards and noted it is illegal and by doing so it takes away someone's right to their freedom of expression. He concluded by indicating that Sunday, November 5th at 1 p.m. in the downtown is the Annual Veteran's Day Parade.
