MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />Council member Brozosky commended the aquatics staff for their life saving measures <br />rendered during the April 8, 2006 Masters Swim meel. <br /> <br />Outgoing Commissioners were recognized for their contributions to the City. <br /> <br />The Oath of Office was administered to newly appointed commission and committee <br />members. <br /> <br />Pat Murray a Pleasanton resident, addressed the Council regarding her concerns of <br />people visiting parks with their dogs and not disposing their waste and of people not disposing <br />cigarette butts in appropriate containers. <br /> <br />Gary Smith a Pleasanton resident, addressed the Council regarding his concern over <br />traffic near Grapevine Drive and Vineyard Drive. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARINGS & OTHER MATTERS <br /> <br />6a <br />Annual Weed Abatement Proaram 2006 (SR 06:126) <br /> <br />Scott Deaver, Fire Marshall, presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />There were no speakers. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Thorne, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, to approve staff <br />recommendations and adopt Resolution 06-027, a resolution approving the 2006 Weed <br />Abatement Program and authorizing the abatement of weeds, rubbish or refuse, upon or <br />in front of certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was taken as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne and Mayor <br />Hostermn <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAINED: None <br /> <br />6b <br />Consider Acauitision of Pleasanton Memorial Gardens Cemetery (SR 06:049) <br /> <br />Lorie Tinfow, Director of Administrative Services, presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Ms. Tinfow introduced Larry Sloan, a consultant Of L.F.
