<br />Cheri Puis, a Pleasanton resident, thanked Council for its involvement in the project and <br />believed this was an excellent plan. She asked Council to approve the plan, authorize the <br />public bidding and not make any premature decisions on the scope of work or capping the <br />budget for the project. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman closed the public comments. <br /> <br />It was moved by Mr. Brozosky, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, to approve the Kottinger <br />Creek Restoration project, to publicly bid the project, to hold neighborhood meetings <br />with residents downstream to discuss the scope of the project, and to return a funding <br />plan to Council after receipt of bids. <br /> <br />Mr. Sullivan stated he supported the project and believed the flood issues have been <br />addressed. (SR 06:074) <br /> <br />Ms. Tinfow presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mr. Thorne asked if the City had received any feedback from the small business <br />community regarding option 1 and its involvement in the project. <br /> <br />Ms. Tinfow responded the City had not gathered much information from the business <br />community but believed there will be more interest since there is a state and federal financial <br />incentive. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman invited public comments. <br /> <br />Bill LaCommare, a Pleasanton resident, stated he supports solar projects and believed it <br />is in the best interest of the City's economy and environment.
