Cheri Puis, a Pleasanton resident, thanked Council for its involvement in the project and believed this was an excellent plan. She asked Council to approve the plan, authorize the public bidding and not make any premature decisions on the scope of work or capping the budget for the project. Mayor Hosterman closed the public comments. It was moved by Mr. Brozosky, seconded by Mr. Sullivan, to approve the Kottinger Creek Restoration project, to publicly bid the project, to hold neighborhood meetings with residents downstream to discuss the scope of the project, and to return a funding plan to Council after receipt of bids. Mr. Sullivan stated he supported the project and believed the flood issues have been addressed. He further stated he did not want the project delayed but the options relating to the bridges may need to be reviewed. Ms. Tinfow responded the City had not gathered much information from the business community but believed there will be more interest since there is a state and federal financial incentive. Mayor Hosterman invited public comments. Bill LaCommare, a Pleasanton resident, stated he supports solar projects and believed it is in the best interest of the City's economy and environment.
