<br />4A <br /> <br />The minutes of the March 7, 2006 meeting are considered draft in nature and will not be <br />official until adopted by the City Council on March 21, 2006. <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />OF THE <br />MEETING <br />OF THE <br />PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />March 7, 2006 <br /> <br />6:30 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br />Conference with real property negotiator Nelson Fialho concerning the terms and <br />conditions of the City's potential acquisition of the community park and the right of way for the <br />Stoneridge Drive extension to be located within Staples Ranch. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting of the City Council to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Councilmember Brozosky the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br />Mayor Hosterman reported on Youth in Government Day, which was hosted jointly by <br />the City and the School District. <br /> <br />Mr. Brozosky announced a Joint City CouncillPleasanton Unified School District Board <br />meeting would be held at 7 p.m. on March 20 at the School District Office. The purpose of the <br />meeting is for discussion regarding the General Plan and how it affects the schools in <br />Pleasanton. The School District will share its demography report, which will depict what <br />happens in the future. He welcomed new Finance Director, David P. Culver. He invited the <br />community to attend a "Best of San Francisco Comedy" featuring comedian Mark Pitta. This <br />event will be held at the Amador Theater, Saturday, March 11 at 7 p.m. A transit fair will be held <br />at the Pleasanton Senior Center on Friday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Representatives <br />from Wheels, Pleasanton Paratransit Service, BART, Alameda County Transportation <br />Improvement District, County Connection, and the Pleasanton Police Department will be on <br />hand to provide the latest transit information and options The fair will also include a lecture by <br />the Pleasanton Police Department on public transportation safety awareness. In conclusion, he <br />announced the City is currently soliciting applications for commission vacancies.
