Zoning for the property is R-1-6,500 (Single-Family Residential) District. Jerry Iserson, Director of Planning and Community Development, presented the staff report. Mr. Thorne asked if school was in session when patrol and traffic officers monitored the subject site? Mr. Iserson believed the traffic monitoring of the subject site was conducted during the summer. Mr. Thorne noted there had been discussion regarding two other daycare centers in the neighborhood. He asked if these were large daycare centers. Mr. Iserson said there are no large daycare centers within this neighborhood. If there were small daycare centers within this neighborhood, the City would not necessarily be aware of it since it does not regulate small daycare facilities.
