MINUTES <br /> OF THE <br /> MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> PLEASANTON CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> May 17, 2005 <br /> <br />6:00 P.M. CLOSED SESSION <br /> <br /> Conference (status update) with legal counsel concerning claims of the FERMA <br />Corporation - Callippe Preserve Golf Course. <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning potential litigation against the Spotorno Ranch <br />Partnership. <br /> <br /> Conference with legal counsel concerning potential litigation with the property owners at <br />780 Sycamore Road (Sweeney) and 5792 Hidden Creek Court (Frost) concerning the public <br />access and storm drain easement on the property at 780 Sycamore Road. <br /> <br /> Conference with real property negotiators, Nelson Fialho and Steven Bocian, regarding <br />the proposed lease to BLP Partnership, Inc., of the vacant, City owned property at the northwest <br />corner of Sunol Boulevard and Junipero Street. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> The regular meeting of the City Council was called to order by Mayor Hosterman at 7:05 <br />p.m. Mr. Sullivan led the assembly in the pledge of allegiance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sullivan informed the community about Public Works Week. An open house will be <br />held at the Operation Services Center on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. He <br />mentioned that the Pleasanton Downtown Association is bringing the community many family, <br />friendly events downtown, which include: the Antique Fair to be held on Sunday, May 29 from 8 <br />a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the First Wednesday Street Party, to be held on Wednesday, June I from 6 <br />p.m. to 9 p.m.; and the Concerts in the Park to begin on Friday, June 3 through Friday, <br />September 3. The concerts are held at Lyons Wayside Park at the corner of First and Neal <br />Streets. He noted that the City has been involved in energy programs over the past several <br />years, and the Economic Vitality Committee will be holding a meeting on Thursday, May 19 to <br />review some of the programs that have been developed, including the Energy Element of the <br />General Plan and a Community Aggregation Feasibility Study. The meeting will begin at 7:30 <br />a.m. and will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Mayor Hosterman announced that a Flea Market would be held on Saturday, May 21 at <br />Ridgeview Commons.
